Wanderlust Festival Brings Yoga Outside

Lake Tahoe is arguably one of the most stunning destinations in the west, so it’s hard to deny an opportunity to visit its beautiful blue waters. Need an excuse to drive north for a weekend? Then look no further than the Wanderlust Festival being held in northern Lake Tahoe from July 28 to 31.

Take a Deep Breath

Lake Tahoe’s naturally pine-scented air and scenic views make it a great place to relax. Wanderlust is being held in Squaw Valley, wherein lies some of the best hiking in California. Plenty of excursions will be available to event goers, including early morning and nature hikes. If hiking isn’t your thing, there are plenty of water activities at the lake nearby. Stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking or swimming are great ways to exercise while absorbing the local surroundings.

Get Some Zen Time
The main goal of Wanderlust is increasing inner peace with yoga instruction. Celebrated instructors from across the globe will be teaching classes outside and indoors. Traditional vinyasa classes will be offered alongside emerging trends, such as hot yoga. Want to try something new? Try the morning meditation or detoxifying yoga classes that will be held throughout the course of the long weekend.

Sway to Sweet Tunes
Get down to earth, literally, while listening to great music at a mountaintop paradise. The Wailers, Steve Gold and Girl Talk will all be performing during different evenings. For night owls, late shows will keep the party going until the early morning. Yogis can take a break from the crow pose to show off to groove at the nightly dance party. Giveaways, DJ sets and a late night bar will also be available during the evenings.

Tickets for the event start at $99.50, but lodging is not including. Check out the Wanderlust website for more information.
