Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with NBC4

NBC4 Southern California celebrates Hispanic Heritage month with special programming, public service announcements and in support of many Latino causes. On Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 7 p.m., NBC4 aired the award-winning Life Connected: Hispanic Heritage Month Special with  Sports Anchor and Reporter Mario Solis and Co-Anchor Kathy Vara hosting and reporters John Cadiz KlemackRobert KovacikLolita Lopez, Mekahlo Medina, Michelle Valles and Vikki Vargas reporting several stories in the Latino community throughout Southern California.  Watch all the stories here.

This year, the station also celebrates receiving the Imagen Foundation Award for its Hispanic Heritage Month Special, and will be presented with the prestigious Mexican American Opportunity Foundation Aztec Award on October 9 for its continued commitment to the Latino community.

We have a legacy in the community of supporting many diverse charities and events, including the Mexican Independence Day Parade, Altamed Health Services, California Chicano New Media Association, Hispanic Scholarship Fund, La Plaza de Cultura y Artes, Mexican American Legal Defense & Education Fund, MAOF, Salvadoran American Leadership & Educational Fund, and the National Hispanic Media Coalition, which honored NBC4 Today in LA Co-Anchor Daniella Guzman for Excellence in Journalism, among many others.
