Join L.A. Parent for its Inclusive Day L.A. on September 16 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Recreation Center (14201 Huston St., Sherman Oaks). This celebration of children of all abilities and their families will be a day filled with fun times and valuable information.
At the resource fair, parents of kids with disabilities can find out about a variety of camps, schools, therapists and occupational programs that are designed to serve these special children and their families.
Kids can enjoy an adaptive playground with equipment that is accessible to wheelchairs and all others. Other activities include arts and crafts, music and fitness for kids of all abililities. Prize giveaways will happen every 20 minutes and LA Parent will be on the lookout for some special kids to feature on upcoming covers, so stop by the L.A. Parent table for details.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one conversations with representatives from The Help Group, Pediatric Minds, EEG Spectrum and other helpful resources. Inclusive Day also will be a great place to meet fellow parents, as well as members of the L.A. Parent staff.
