NBC4 Southern California is the media sponsor for this year's Walk to End Lupus Now™ event in Los Angeles, organized by The Lupus Foundation of America, on September 26, 2015. NBC4 Co-Anchor and Reporter Kathy Vara and "Today in LA" Co-Anchor Whit Johnson will return to co-emcee the event, including kicking off the opening ceremony with more than six thousand participants expected at Exposition Park in Los Angeles.
The event is one of the country's largest lupus walk programs. Lupus activist and star of "Pretty Little Liars," Ian Harding, will serve as Grand Marshal, to help raise awareness of lupus and rally support for those who suffer from its impact.
