NBC4 and Telemundo52 supported college-bound youth at the Salvadoran American Leadership & Educational Fund's 18th Annual Scholarship Banquet on October 19, 2013 in downtown Los Angeles. NBC4 Weekend Co-anchor Kathy Vara and T52 Assignment Reporter Azalea Iniguez co-emceed the event attended by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti along with several other officials, supporters from the community, students and their famlies.
Both NBC4 and T42 presented SALEF Executive Director Carlos Vaquerano with a check to go toward the organization's scholarship fund and ensure more youth in Latino communities throughout Southern California have the resources to further their higher education goals.
