NBC4 Wins Five Golden Mikes

The 5 and 11 p.m. news won best news broadcast in their categories

NBC4 was honored five times at the 2012 Golden Mike Awards on Saturday.

The 63rd Annual Golden Mike Awards, given by the Radio & Television News Association of Southern California, were announced at a dinner at Universal City Saturday evening.

The NBC4 News at 5 p.m. won best hour-long news broadcast, and the NBC4 News at 11 p.m. won best half-hour news broadcast.

NBC4's special broadcast "LA Riots: 20 Years Later" won best news special.

The best news reporting award went to Antonio Castelan's story "Riverside Teen Trapped in Tijuana Brothel."

Ana Garcia's story "Unscrupulous Landscaper" won best business and consumer reporting.
