KSWD-FM "100.3 The Sound" in Los Angeles is supporting the Children's Hospitals of Los Angeles and Orange County during their "10-at-10athon."
It begins at 10am this Thursday, December 15th, and continues non-stop until Friday, December 16th, at 2pm.
The Sound’s morning DJs, Larry Morgan and Sheri Donovan, will test their stamina by stretching their 1-hour "10@10" program to a 28-hour marathon, featuring continuous lists of "10 great songs from 1 great year."
Admissions at these hospitals have more than doubled in the past 15 years, straining their ability to improve - and often, save - the lives of children with urgent health care needs in Southern California. Combined, the two hospitals - in Los Angeles and the city of Orange - provide more than $130 Million in uncompensated care to uninsured and underinsured patients annually.
The Sound is encouraging Southern Californians to support these hospitals and their community by becoming a Sound Miracle Maker for just $20 a month, or simply make a one-time donation that will help many local children and families in need.
