Hammer Under the Hammer: A&E are doing all sorts of...

advertisement

A&E are doing all sorts of inventive things to drum up ratings for MC Hammer's reality show—first, a Hammer dance flashmob, and now, an auction of memorabilia from the artist's short-lived '90s heyday. The cornerstone of the bidding war is an "official"pair of gold lamé harem pants, autographed by M.C. himself and currently going for a whopping $106. For those looking to spend a little less, there are also several Hammer action dolls which have not yet been bid upon, one that includes a miniature boombox that makes "rap sounds". [A&E]
