Jon Bon Jovi and daughter Stephanie Bongiovi weren't about to let recent issues affect their holiday weekend.

The duo looked happy as they spent quality family time together in the Hamptons today following a Thanksgiving celebration.

In order to stay warm in the cold weather, the 50-year-old singer and his 19-year-old daughter made sure to layer up casually and comfortably.

Stephanie wore sweats with boots, a T-shirt and a blue fleece sweater, while Bon Jovi opted for a black padded parka, jeans and sneakers.

A little over a week ago, the family was hit with an unfortunate situation when Stephanie was arrested on drug possession after a suspected heroin overdose in her dorm room at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y. Not too long afterward, all charges against the college student were dropped because of a New York law that specifically prohibits prosecution of people who experience a drug overdose.

"This tragedy was something that I had to face, too, so we'll get through it," Bon Jovi told Fox 11 during an interview. "And people's warm wishes for my family and I have been really reassuring. So, we're good."
