Tracy Morgan Hospitalized After Collapsing at Sundance

Spokespeople for both the "30 Rock" star and the hospital denied reports that drugs or alcohol may have played a role.

"39 Rock" star Tracy Morgan was whisked to the hospital Sunday night after collapsing at a Sundance Film Festival event.

A spokeswoman for Park City Medical Center in Park City, Utah, where the indie film festival is held, confirmed to NBC News that the "Saturday Night Live" alum had been treated there.

Earlier in the night, TMZ reported that just before Morgan fell unconscious and was rushed to the hospital, he had come across as "extremely intoxicated" while he made an acceptance speech for an honor at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards.

But the hospital spokeswoman later told the site that no drugs or alcohol were found in his system.

Morgan's representative said in a statement that he was being treated for "a combination of exhaustion and altitude" — Park City, a ski hub when it isn't hosting Sundance, is high in the Rocky Mountains — and called reports of Morgan as having drunk alcohol as "100% false.

"He is with his fiancé and grateful to the Park City Medical Center for their care," the representative added.

Morgan hoped to be on the mend early Monday morning.
