Jessica Simpson said she is pained by a flurry of false reports that her lost pup who was taken by a coyote last month has been found.

The pop princess, who was heartbroken over the loss of 5-year-old Daisy, took to Twitter to speak out against those who have been reportedly contacting her family and giving them false hope after the search for the was called off.

"People who have been contacting my family and friends saying that Daisy has been found," the pop princess said on her Twitter page Sunday. "Untrue. People are so cruel. please respect her memory."

Daisy was a gift from ex-hubby Nick Lachey, who said he too was choked up about the presumed death of the pooch. The dog was dragged from its Los Angeles backyard by a coyote in mid-September and the search was called off about a week later.

"My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes," she tweeted in September. "HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!"
