Adam Levine Finds Sexiest Man Alive Title “Flattering and Hilarious”

The only thing marring Adam Levine's chiseled features these days is the tongue in his cheek.

After Carson Daly flashed People magazine's 2013 Sexiest Man Alive cover for the world to see on "The Voice" Tuesday night, Levine joked to E! News about what it felt like to follow in the footsteps of the likes of George Clooney, Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt.

"It's bizarre," he admitted, quickly adding, "It's funny. It's awesome, flattering."

Asked if he felt more handsome after scoring the Sexiest Man Alive title, Levine solemnly nodded.

"A lot more," the 34-year-old deadpanned. "I felt like today was the first day I've ever felt like I was being a little handsome."

But Levine knows that great power comes with great responsibility.

"I'm going to just be getting so much crap from everybody I know, it's going to be interesting to endure," he acknowledged.

Even from his fiancee, Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo, no slouch herself in the hotness department?

"Oh yeah, all over the place," Levine said. "Going to be the butt of every joke for the next six months, to a year to my entire life."

While he says he doesn't mind getting a crown to commemorate the honor, deeming it more of a lady's prize, he indicated he'd be willing to try on a tiara, if someone offered one.

"Diamond-encrusted, like something CeeLo would wear," he smiled.

And no, the big scene Daly made on "The Voice" that resulted in all sorts of ribbing from Blake Shelton was not embarrsassing to the sexy man of the hour.

"No, it's flattering," Levine insisted. "It's funny, it's awesome, it's a huge part [of pop culture]...You know, it's an iconic thing. It's amazing...

"It's just, it is funny," It is definitely funny. It's flattering and hilarious."

And we're going to really enjoy giggling, drooling, etc. when the issue hits stands Friday.
