Angelina Jolie is being applauded for her humanitarian efforts.

The mother of six will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the Academy's 5th Annual Governors Awards Saturday, Nov. 16.

Actors Angela Lansbury and Steve Martin and costume designer Piero Tosi will also be presented with Honorary Awards by the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences at the ceremony, which will take place at the Ray Dolby ballroom at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, Calif.

"The Governors Awards pay tribute to individuals who've made indelible contributions in their respective fields," Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs said in a statement. "We couldn't be more excited for this year's honorees and look forward to bringing their peers and colleagues together to celebrate their extraordinary achievements."

Brad Pitt's missus is being bestowed with the accolade for her continued advocacy for humanitarian causes as the UNHCR Special Envoy travels the world to bring injustice to light.

Most recently, the 38-year-old actress spoke out about the mistreatment of children in Syria, and in June, the Oscar winner traveled to Jordan for World Refugee Day.
