Fallon: Emma Stone Proves Just How Awful She Is at Lying on “Box of Lies”

"I love to lip-sync, but I am a terrible liar," Stone admitted. "So this is a bad game for me."

Emma Stone proved to Jimmy Fallon just how awful she is at lying in a game of “Box of Lies.”

"The Amazing Spider-Man” actress stopped by “The Tonight Show” on Tuesday and announced that she will be making her Broadway debut in “Cabaret” on Nov. 11, replacing Michelle Williams in the role of Sally Bowles.

Stone also revealed just how difficult it was shooting long continuous scenes for her latest project “Birdman.”

“Making this movie, and what we had to contend with as actors, needing to rely on each other the way that a company does, is incredibly helpful now going into theater,” she said.

Fallon and Stone then took turns trying to stump each other in a game of “Box of Lies,” where both players picked a box and either described what was inside, or made up a lie about the contents. If the other player could correctly guess whether the description was the truth or a lie, that player won.

"I love to lip-sync, but I am a terrible liar," Stone admitted. "So this is a bad game for me."

Stone went first, but Fallon saw through her tall tale and called out her lie. When the tables were turned the “Tonight Show” host won by convincing Stone that a fake hand wearing a wristwatch was actually a plate with a tiny squirrel surfing on a piece of lettuce.

"I won, I won, I won," he cheered.

"You deserved it," Emma smiled clapping her hands.
