WATCH: Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels Reveal “Dumb and Dumber To” Trailer on “Tonight Show”

“The first day he came to the set,” Carrey continued, “he was fresh from ‘Newsroom’, just won the Emmy and we went ‘More buttcrack Jeff! We need to see the buttcrack!’”

Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels revealed the trailer to their long-awaited movie “Dumb and Dumber To” and appeared in a sketch about a Canadian soap opera on Tuesday’s “Tonight Show.”

But first, Carrey and Daniels talked about filming the original "Dumb and Dumber" back in 1994.

“I remember the audition,” Daniels said. “I was Mr. Drama and he was just Jim. I had to prove I could be funny.”

Carrey added that Daniels came to the sequel in similar mode.

“The first day he came to the set,” Carrey continued, “he was fresh from ‘Newsroom’, just won the Emmy and we went ‘More buttcrack Jeff! We need to see the buttcrack!’”

Fallon asked Carrey if there were any issues shooting with Daniels.

“You have to compensate for certain things,” Carrey said. “Not only is Jeff a great actor but he’s anatomically correct as an actor. His head is a little bit bigger than the normal people’s heads. If I’m beside him I look on the small side, like a pea brain. So during the movie I would stand three or four steps ahead of him.”

“Movie magic!” Carrey yelled.

Finally, Fallon showed a clip of "Jacob's Patience," a phony Canadian soap opera on which he, Carrey and Daniels appeared with some unusual-looking arms.

Fallon has appeared in similar sketches with Miley Cyrus, Seth Rogen and Steve Carell along with Justin Timberlake.
