Red Nose Day: Julia Roberts Reveals Her Hollywood Secret in Hilarious Sketch

Julia Roberts showed her support for the first U.S. version of Britain's Nose Day by revealing a shocking secret: her real voice is very low and hoarse.

"There's not doubt she's a brilliant actress...but she has what I would describe as a unique voice," fellow actress and director Jodie Foster says in a hilarious "Hollywood Secrets" sketch that debuted during the Red Nose Day telecast Thursday on NBC. "It's not what I would associate with a Hollywood leading lady," adds Foster.

Roberts' former castmates Hugh Bonneville ("Notting Hill") and Richard Gere ("Pretty Woman") expressed "shock" at Roberts' natural voice.

"They re-voice me in every movie I do, which makes me absolutely furious," Roberts revealed. "What is going on?"

But the "August: Osage County" wasn't the only actor who (jokingly) admitted to having a voice that audiences would not recognise. Also exposed as having terrible timbres were Liam Neeson, Robert's other "Notting Hill" co-star Hugh Grant and 007 actor Daniel Craig. Check out the video above.

Other celebrities participating in the show include Pharrell, Ed Sheeran, Jennifer Aniston and Blake Shelton.

Red Nose Day has raised more than $1 billion in its three decades. Funds from the NBC special will go towards organizations helping children living in poverty in the U.S. and all over the world. Donations can be made by calling 1844 446 6673 or going to RedNoseDayUSA.org.
