Justin Bieber Pal Lil Za Charged With Felony Drug Possession Stemming from Egg-Gate Raid

Lil Za is the one facing the music after the raid on Justin Bieber's house.

Bieber's pal, whose real name is Xavier Smith, has been charged with two counts of felony drug possession and one count of causing damage in excess of $950 to jail property, the latter pertaining to his bust for allegedly ripping a telephone off the wall right before he was about to post bail following his drug arrest.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office confirmed to E! News Friday that the drugs involved are Ecstasy and Oxycontin.

Of the handful of Bieber associates at the house when L.A. County Sheriff's Department investigators conducted their search in response to an allegation that Bieber had egged a neighbor's house, Lil Za is the only person who was arrested.

His bail was first set at $20,000, but another $50,000 was tacked on after the phone incident.

If convicted on all three felony counts, Lil Za could face a maximum of nine years in prison. A court hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 4 in Van Nuys, Calif., and he is compelled to appear.

Authorities later confirmed to E! News that Bieber's home was not "filled" with drugs, as some reports stated, and the only substances were the ones found in Lil Za's room that led to his arrest.

"Honestly, the media is making me someone I'm not," Bieber's pal tweeted after he was released from custody. "But only those in my shoes can relate. ... These ppl get paid to make you look bad. Some stuff I've done has been wrong yes. but look at the position I'm in and the color of my skin. Cocaine? Really? All this time I was home in tx nobody gave a f--k about what Za was doing...soon as he gets to La he's all over the news."

The sheriff's department originally identified the substance found in the house as cocaine, but soon clarified that it could have been MDMA, or Ecstasy.
