Kit Harington Sparks Hope for Jon Snow, ‘Game of Thrones' Fans

Kit Harington may have gotten himself into a hairy situation.

The 28-year-old actor was spotted courtside at Wimbeldon on July 2 still sporting curly, shoulder-length hair, the same style worn by his "Game of Thrones" character, Jon Snow.

So what's the issue?

Spoiler alert!

Well, on the season 5 finale of the HBO mega hit, Snow appeared to meet his demise at the hands of the people he considered his friends and comrades, Julius Caesar-style. And while "Game of Thrones" is known for breaking fans' hearts with the killings of beloved characters, the series is set in the land of fantasy, and has stuff like, oh, you know, dragons and magic and zombie-like White Walkers. So, theoretically, "dead" can mean "mostly dead" or "slightly alive." Or, well, "not dead."

Co-star Emilia Clarke, whose character Daenerys Targaryen commands said dragons (or thinks she does), recently said she gave Snow a "50/50 chance" of surviving the bloody and seemingly deathly betrayal.

So back to the hair: Harington had told The Independent last December that his contract obliged him to keep his hair long for the duration of the show and that he planned to "cut it off quite soon. As soon as I'm allowed."

A month later, he did indeed debut a shorter haircut, horrifying many fans, who speculated this meant Snow would be killed off.

Now, several weeks after the "Game of Thrones" season 5 finale and months after filming wrapped, Harington was spotted sitting at the Royal Box at the Wimbledon tennis championships with soccer player Adam Lallana. Harington's hair? Very Jon Snow-ish. Thick, long and lush.

So many fans are speculating that Harington will reprise his character for season 6. Because of his hair.
