Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Named Least Desirable Neighbors of 2013

Newly-engaged couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were named the least desirable celebrity neighbors of 2013, according to real estate website Zillow.

Soon-to-be "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon was named the most desirable on Zillow's seventh annual Celebrity Neighbor Survey.

The survey asked U.S. adults which celebrities they would most like to be their neighbor, and with whom they wouldn't want to share a property boundary, or cup of sugar for that matter. Overall, 34 percent of adults surveyed said they would not want to live next to any celebrity listed on the poll, down from 45 percent in 2012.

Fallon took the number one spot of most desirable with 11 percent of surveyed votes. The comedian's popularity was highest among young adults surveyed (14 percent), and slightly more popular among females (12 percent) compared with males (10 percent).

"It's been a landmark year for Jimmy Fallon. He had his first baby, headlined a successful comedy tour and was named Jay Leno's successor to 'The Tonight Show.' He carries a positive, funny and relatable vibe, which people would love to have in a neighbor," said Zillow Chief Marketing Officer Amy Bohutinsky in a statement.

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton fell a peg from their position atop the list in 2012 to be the second most desirable celebrity neighbors of 2013, with each receiving 10 percent of the votes. Unsurprisingly, young adults (ages 18-34) would much rather have an abode adjacent to Oscar-winner and "American Hustle" star Jennifer Lawrence, with 17 percent preferring Lawrence over Lambert and Shelton.

Sofia Vergara and Robin Roberts were next on the list, each garnering six percent. They were ahead of Lebron James, who tied with Kardashian and West at two percent.

Kardashian, West and James were the only celebrities named to both desirable and unwanted lists. James barely scraped onto the undesirable side of the board with one percent of the vote, a listing far behind Kardashian and West who took first place with a whopping 25 percent.

"Kim Kardashian and Kanye West ... have a reputation for living an over-the-top lifestyle, with drama and the paparazzi never too far behind. No one wants to live next door to a family who has cameras following them everywhere and seems to seek out as much attention as possible," Bohutinsky said.

The down-home antics of Honey Boo Boo and her kin did not rank highly, either. Little Alana Thompson, Mama June and the remaining cast of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" were down from the 2012 top spot to take up residence at number two on this year's list with 21 percent of the votes.

According to the survey the Thompsons were less desirable to live next to than Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus, who tied for third with 16 percent. Lady Gaga (4 percent), Alex Rodriguez (2 percent) and James round out the list of potential nightmare neighbors.

Whether it's the thought of constant paparazzi (Kardashian, West), man-child antics (Bieber) or desperate need for extra closet space (Gaga), the takeaway according to Zillow's Bohutinksy is that in general, we prefer those dwelling on the other side of our fences to be of the regular, non-famous ilk. "With more than one-third of surveyed Americans preferring a non-celebrity neighbor, what remains clear is that many people don't want to live next to any celebrity, regardless of why they are famous."
