‘Tonight Show': Taraji P. Henson Explains Tweet Mix-up at Super Bowl

The actress said she "was drinking a lot of Kool Aid" during Super Bowl 50

"Empire" star Taraji P. Henson lamented the irreversibility of tweeting on "The Tonight Show" as host Jimmy Fallon teased her for confusing Coldplay and Maroon 5 during Super Bowl 50.

"Maroon 5 is life to me!" Henson tweeted about Coldplay's performance and then quickly deleted the message.

"You know, I was drinking a lot of Kool Aid that night," Henson told Fallon Wednesday about the errant tweet.

It seems that every time Henson appears on "The Tonight Show," her colleague Jussie Smollett has a video of her sleeping on the set of "Empire," where she plays the ferocious matriarch Cookie Lyon. But this time, Henson retaliated with a video of her own, recording fellow cast member Smollett snoozing away.

Fallon noted that "Empire" lets Henson show off her funny side and invited her to play "The Acting Game."

After completing her various acting warmups, Henson played Cookie as an astronaut who got a call from NASA, telling her she would not be coming home tomorrow, as scheduled, but would stay up in space for another six months.

"Oh honey, that's gotta be wrong, check the stats," Henson said in dramatic fashion. "See I got a nail appointment honey, I haven't been waxed. I'm looking like a woolly mammoth up here. There are no sidewalks on the moon, sweetheart. Fur does not work well in space."
