Report: Eminem Might Sign On To New Movie

Look for Eminem possibly at a movie theater near you.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the rapper could star in the upcoming crime flick, "Random Acts of Violence." It would be Eminem’s first movie since "8 Mile" in 2002.

However in a statement to The Associated Press, Eminem’s publicist, Dennis Dennehy, said that while the rapper might appear in the film, “nothing is set in stone.”

The movie’s story is about a newly-freed former convict who is trying to avoid trouble but is pressured by ex-colleagues.

Dennehy further said to the AP that Eminem’s team has been working on the project for a while, and that "everyone involved hopes that it comes to fruition and the film goes into production."

David Von Ancken, whose credits include the Showtime series “Californication,” is slated to helm the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Eminem--whose latest work “Recovery” is the top-selling album of 2010 according to Billboard--recently netted 10 Grammy Award nominations.
