Even though the self-proclaimed King of the South is back behind bars, his fans won't have wait much longer for his latest record.
The album, originally entitled "King Unleashed" but now dubbed "No Mercy," features a slew of guest stars, including Kanye West, Eminem and Christina Aguilera and several notable producers. Dr. Dre pops up on several tracks as well. The lead single from the album, "Get Back Up," is already out and features Chris Brown.
T.I. commented on his new album with a statement on his website.
"This album represents some of my best work inspired by my most recent best and worst life experiences," he wrote. "They say adversity brings forth inspiration so y'all can imagine how inspired I've been during the recording process for this album. I've been taking stock of myself and digesting everyone's comments and criticisms. Now it's my turn to express myself and take you into my mind. The real won't hate and the truth won't wait! If God is with me who can be against me."
The rapper was arrested in Los Angeles in September for drug possession. The bust violated a probation deal in place after T.I., whose birth name is Clifford Harris, was released from jail after serving time for a federal weapons charge in 2009. He surrended himself to authorities on November 1 to begin serving an 11 month sentence.
