In a $5 million counter suit filed against TLC on Nov. 13, Jon Gosselin claimed his fame "makes it impossible" to find a regular job,  the New York Daily News reports.

He also said that TLC purposely arranged media events and appearances for his wife, Kate Gosselin, but actively contacted media outlets and television networks in an effort to persuade them to stop dealing with him.

"Their behavior has caused Jon great anguish and it has caused him financial losses," Gosselin's attorney, Mark Heller, told People. "They had a cadre of lawyers so they had a one-sided agreement."

The TLC lawsuit, filed in Maryland, claims that Gosselin breached TLC's original contract as an "exclusive employee" of the network, having appeared on other television shows and disclosed information about "Jon and Kate Plus 8," Access Hollywood reports.

Gosselin's countersuit states that TLC breached its own contract and owes the reality TV star $175,000 for shows that already aired.

Gosselin also said, due to his celebrity status, it is "impossible to carry on normal daily activities, let alone find, secure and maintain a job with an employer who is willing to be exposed to the daily Media intrusions that has impeded my life."

Who needs a job when you've got $5 million, right?

The legal slug-fest will begin in Maryland on Dec. 14.
