The Voice's First Ever Instant Eliminations

Two teammates were sent packing after their first performances this week

There was a new twist in The Voice Monday night, when two singers were sent home in the show’s first ever instant eliminations.

Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton each sent one of their teammates packing. In the end, Jordis Unga was eliminated by Shelton.

"It's all on me now and I think they left me in a good place where I can do it," Unga said.

As for Team Christina, they lost Jesse Campbell, who dedicated his performance of Beyonce’s “Halo” to his daughter.

"Whatever you're feeling about is what you bring about and that's why even here and now, I'm grateful for the love and support I've received from the public,” Campbell said.

Tuesday, America’s voting results will be revealed and the bottom vote-getters will have to use their last-chance performances to earn immunity from their coaches.
