While television shows are on a year-round roll-out nowadays, many a fan still does a whole pining thing for the fall.
That's when the largest slate of small screen debuts has traditionally made a showing, and that's Emmy award seasons, too. So while we see fresh scripted fare premiering throughout the calendar, it is still autumn that holds sway.
And The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills traditionally hosts the PaleyFest Fall TV Previews at about the same time, giving viewers both a chance to hear some of the casts chat about the unknown shows live and in person.
Call is a complement to the springtime PaleyFest, when established hits receive the on-stage panel treatment in Hollywood.
But the September PaleyFest outing won't take place at the Dolby Theatre; rather, make for The Paley Center's Beverly Hills location for several nights of cast talks, creator appearances, sneak peek clips, and more.
So what's on the schedule? "Pitch" from FOX opens up the Fall Previews run on Thursday, Sept. 8, with "Lethal Weapon" following later that same night. "Son of Zorn" and "The Exorcist" will also get screenings.
El Rey will screen "Lucha Underground" and "From Dusk Till Dawn" the next night, while ABC's "American Housewife," "Notorious," and "Designated Survivor" is scheduled for a Sept. 10 showing.
"This Is Us" from NBC has its evening on Sept. 13, with "Pure Genius" from CBS rolling out the night before. The CW will be in the house, do note, on Sept. 10.
