With its white knuckle car chases, over-the-top stunts and heart-racing action, critics have always labeled The Fast and the Furious franchise a thrill ride.

And never has that been more true, because now you can take part in the acclaimed action.

In celebration of their 50th Anniversary, Universal Studios Hollywood has added "Fast & Furious—Supercharged," the new grand finale —inspired by the high-octane adventure found in the seven films—to their world-famous Studio Tour. "Fast & Furious—Supercharged" puts you alongside cast members Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Luke Evans on a 120 mile an hour chase that careens through the high-stakes underground world of street racing, all from the comfort of your seat.

But how, you’re probably wondering, do you make a tram feel like it’s a souped up sports car racing through the streets, launching over rivers and outrunning an international crime cartel? Leave it to the experts at Universal Studios Hollywood, industry masterminds who know a thing or two about movie magic.

By fusing sophisticated special effects and hydraulics with a state-of-the-art 3D audio system and 3D-HD imagery projected onto the world’s longest and most expansive 360-degree screen, guests are enveloped in unprecedented realism. In other words, you might be sitting securely in the safety of the tram, but it’ll feel like you’re partaking in the latest car heist as helicopters whiz past, the ground shakes and a lifelike hologram of Vin Diesel hurls alongside you.

Speaking of Mr. Diesel, even the A-list action star was rendered nearly speechless after experiencing "Fast & Furious—Supercharged" for himself.

“Wow…wow was that cool. It’s incredible, it’s really remarkable. It’s not like anything I’ve ever seen,” Diesel said at the ride’s red carpet premiere. “Everyone on the tram said, ‘Can we do it again?’ It’s super cool!”

The adventure, however, begins long before you hit the climactic ride. From the moment you begin the Studio Tour, you’ll be immersed in the world of The Fast and the Furious. Exclusive interstitial content filmed with cast members is featured on the tram monitors throughout the behind-the-scenes look at Universal Studios’ backlot, including cast interactions with the guests as well as sightings of numerous prop cars from The Fast and the Furious series along the route.

Of course this is all a prelude to "Fast & Furious—Supercharged," an epic adventure that will get your adrenaline pumping.

“We’ve perfected an exciting new form of immersive entertainment that combines over-the-top hyper-realistic action adventure with exhilarating custom-made special effects that will transport guests into the thrilling world of Fast & Furious,” said Mark Woodbury, President of Universal Creative. “Our collaboration with Universal Pictures to create an authentic experience through epic storytelling and technological breakthroughs continues to be a hallmark of Universal Studios Hollywood.”
