    The Original Farmers Market
The lighting of the large menorah near the plaza is a beloved tradition at the Original Farmers Market. Want to join a full on fest, including the building of the LEGO menorah? Be at Third & Fairfax on Sunday, Dec. 1.

Menorah lightings, menorah buildings, the sharing of stories, the enjoying of latkes and wine, and the coming together of family members and friends and Angelenos? Yes, yes, and yes. There are many ways to honor Hanukkah around Los Angeles, and the celebrations are ready to unfurl.

The Festival of Lights will sparkle at...

The Original Farmers Market: The landmark at Third & Fairfax is known for not one but two menorahs. There's the large one that's lit every night of Hanukkah -- find that near the plaza and Taschen Books -- and there's the LEGO one that is built at the annual festival. That's happening on Sunday, Dec. 1, but you can stop by the market anytime during the eight nights to admire the glowing lights near the northeast gate.

Skirball Cultural Center: Tours, history, crafts, and more? The center has much going on during Hanukkah, as well as the weekend before. Join a Lights of Hanukkah Family Tour, which takes in the Visions and Values: Jewish Life from Antiquity to America exhibit. Dates: Saturday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 1. There's also the very popular family festival on Sunday, Nov. 24, though it may be sold out.

Beverly Hills: Rodeo Drive is going to be quite asparkle during the upcoming season, and a menorah at Two Rodeo will be part of the festiveness. Join this Festival of Lights for a special "lighting event" on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Winterlit: The yearly Santa Monica holiday confab also features a beautiful menorah on the Third Street Promenade.  The first night of Hanukkah is Wednesday, Nov. 27, and the last light is lit on Thursday, Dec. 5.

Latkes, Delicious, Delicious Latkes: The Thanksgiving-meets-Hanukkah hot dog at Pasadena's Dog Haus is getting much attention -- picture a turkey dog with a latke atop it, plus some other traditional elements -- but there are other spots around town for family-table favorites that have been given a fresh spin. The Reuben Truck and The Kosher Palate are two gourmet-yummy go-tos for the savory staple.
