Pub Crawl: Hollywood's Fabled Watering Holes

Musso's, the Roosevelt, the Pig & Whistle? Check, check, and check.

If we had a pimento-stuffed olive for every time someone walked into Musso & Frank's or Boardner's and launched into tales of its starry and storied pasts, well. We'd have a swimming pool full of olives, a swimming pool the size of the one at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

So not small, is what we're saying.

The drinking establishments of Hollywood Boulevard appear in the proverbial song and legend because they've earned their rightful spots. And those songs and legends shall be celebrated, discussed, pondered, questioned, and ultimately toasted when Obscura Society LA goes on an Historic Hollywood Pub Crawl.

The crawling commences on the evening of Saturday, Jan. 25.

And the bars that shall be bellied-up-to, along the boulevard? Musso's, you betcha. Boardner's, indeed. The Roosevelt, yes. The Frolic Room and the Pig and Whistle.

Tickets are $25 and recent word has it that things are about to get mighty sold out. Not surprising, especially given the fact that a special deal with Lyft, the car service, is involved, and, and, and? Sipping cocktails and talking about Charlie Chaplin and such isn't a bad way to spend a Saturday night.

Wait. You totally know where Charlie Chaplin's go-to Musso booth is located, right? If not, best find out. (Hint: It's in the Old Room.)
