Stagecoach 2017 Line-up Announced

Dierks Bentley, Shania Twain, and Kenny Chesney headline the desert-based country festival.

Springtime in California isn't just about the wildflowers, but the sights and sounds that flower each and every year when the warmer weather arrives.

The gray whales are out in the waves, doing their majestic migrating thing. On land, the pretty wisteria buds are on the vine, purpling-up patios and porches around the Golden State.

And out in the Coachella Valley, near Indio? The sprawling, headliner-packed, fans-from-all-over music festivals are taking shape.

The Coachella Music & Arts Festival is first up on the calendar, in the middle of April, but clip-clopping close behind? It's Stagecoach Festival, a three-day sound extravaganza that's heading straight for the anniversary of its first decade of doing it up in the desert.

"Doing it up" in this case means bringing the top country acts on the current charts, as well as those classic artists who helped hone the twang and the croon over the last few decades. New country, alternative vibes, bluegrass favorites, and roots also play big roles on the big stages.

Stages which will be filled with some serious headliner-type wattage in the next go-around. The 2017 line-up was revealed on Monday, Nov. 14, with Dierks Bentley, Shania Twain, and Kenny Chesney serving as the final, everyone-on-their-feet act for each of the three nights, respectively.

And those three nights? Start seeking out that hotel room in Palm Springs or La Quinta, festival goers: The end of April is your mondo music moment.

That's April 28, 29, and 30 — yep, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — and tickets will go on sale on Friday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.

Other 2017 acts include Cole Swindell, Willie Nelson and Family, Los Lobos, and Cowboy Junkies.

As with Goldenvoice's other multi-day, multi-genre festivals, the line-ups are out-sized for each day, so picking who you want to see requires some foreplanning. Why not start the moment you arrange where you're saying and, of course, that all-important pass or ticket?

April 2017 is less than six months out, just time enough to visit, or revisit, the catalogs of every artist on the huge Stagecoach roster.
