The Bluth Banana Stand Hits the Grove

The "Arrested Development" banana stand makes for the outdoor mall.

There's always money in the banana stand, the saying goes, but then the Bluth Original Frozen Banana Stand is not your normal banana stand.

For one, it appeared on "Arrested Development," one of the all-time mega most-gif'd, most-quoted, most-gabbed-about shows. For two, it is prone to moving around, in a way that banana stands don't normally move around.

But since the beloved cult favorite is set for its much-anticipated Netflix rebirth on Sunday, May 26, that celebrity fruit stand has been popping up here and there, in New York, in Culver City, and now at The Grove.

It'll be at the Farmers Market-adjacent outdoor shopping center on Tuesday, May 21, says a tweet from the "Arrested Development" people. Bet fans'll line up, as they did in Culver City, not just for chocolate dipped-banana goodness but to possibly get a star-sighting, too.

Actors Judy Greer and Mae Whitman donned the Bluth aprons in Culver City and helmed the stand for a bit. Will Arnett and Jason Bateman appeared in New York.

Who is next?

Regardless, bet you'll see a few "Arrested Development" references beyond the stand. Men in orange jumpsuits, a la George Sr., were spotted in Culver City.
