Delicious mysteries and hard-to-fathom enigmas and twisty labyrinths full of surprises are part and parcel of the Potter universe, and fans wouldn't have it any other way. After all, how satisfying would it be if Harry Potter marched up to a magical door and found it unlocked and easy to enter?
Answer: Not very.
Universal Studios Hollywood is taking this anticipatory theme very much to heart as it approaches the spring 2016 opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Indeed, you're correct, this is the theme park experience that's been in the works high on the hill in Universal City for several years, and, yes, it is a story-filled sibling to the one in Orlando.
So where do the clues and mystery and anticipation come in? Well, if you've been watching the roll-out to the experience's grand opening -- and thousands of fans have -- you've seen Universal spin out the delicious details, from the recently released conductor-led virtual tour of Wizarding World to the announcement that an announcement about the opening date has a date.

On the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 1, the theme park announced that on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 8, the official opening date for the ride- and shop- and eatery-filled destination will be revealed. No longer will "spring 2016" simply suffice, in short, and fans can begin to plan any visits or trips around actual, on-the-calendar dates.
Only something as grand as the Potter universe would receive a special date for an announcement regarding another special date. (You're still following, we do so fervently hope.)
