7 Hurt After Head-On Crash in Beverly Hills

Seven people were injured -- four of them seriously -- in the wreck, officials say

Seven people were hurt, four of them seriously injured, in a two-car collision in Beverly Hills early Sunday morning.

The head-on collision occurred just before 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of North Benedict Canyon Drive and Beverly Estates Road, Los Angeles police said. 

Four people were seriously injured and three others suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police closed North Benedict Canyon Drive in both directions at Beverly Estates Road during the investigation.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
