MTV's “Jersey Shore” Crew Returns to NJ for 5th Season

The producer of MTV's hit show the "Jersey Shore" confirmed to NBC New York Sunday that the show will be taping in Seaside Heights for the third straight summer.

"Same crew, ready to party bigger than ever," show producer Sally Ann Salsano wrote in an email.

The means Snooki, The Situation and the rest will spend most of the summer working, partying and recording one of the most popular shows on cable TV.

Realtor Mike Loundy confirmed they will be based in the same house just behind the boardwalk, and will be working in the same beach shop just a few feet away.

He said the cast and crew "will be here soon and will stay throughout at least late August."

The show has been a boon to tourism in Seaside Heights these past two years, especially appreciated during the recession.

Perhaps the only ones not excited about this news might be the Seaside Heights Police Department.

Last year they were in the spotlight for arresting Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi on charges that included disorderly conduct, to which she eventually plea bargained and performed community service.

Last month, while the show was taping in Italy, she was briefly taken into custody after the car she was driving hit a parked police car. She was issued a citation and released, according to news reports.
