Montebello Police are investigating a fatal traffic collision that left one person dead and two others injured just before 2 a.m. Sunday.
Three occupants were in a white Chevy truck when it was traveling southbound on Garfield Boulevard and lost control, Lt. Michael Bergman said. The Chevy truck hit a parked black Ford, just south of Madison Avenue, killing the male driver of the Chevy and sending it's two passengers to a local hospital with unknown injuries, Bergman said.
It was not immediately known whether alcohol played a part in the fatal accident but was not ruled out, officials said.
Garfield Boulevard between Whittier and Madison Avenue will be closed for several hours during the investigation, Bergman said.
