Have an iPhone? There's an app for that. Actually about 85,000 of them and Apple announced that the App store just passed the 2 billion download mark. According to CEO Steve Jobs in a press release:

The rate of App Store downloads continues to accelerate with users downloading a staggering two billion apps in just over a year, including more than half a billion apps this quarter alone. The App Store has reinvented what you can do with a mobile handheld device, and our users are clearly loving it.

There are over 125,000 registered developers now in 77 countries around the world. Over 50 million iPhones and iPod touches have been sold to date.
