Paying a parking valet with cash maybe come a thing of the past if a new pilot program is a success.

Starting Dec. 1, a select group of restaurants will be testing taking credit cards at valet stations.

Regent Hospitality Parking who operate valet services at Osteria and Pizzeria Mozza in Hollywood as well as the new Bouchon in Beverly Hills, will be trying out the new service according to the LA Times.

Credit cards may be accepted at other restaurants' valet stands depending on the success of the company's efforts, Regent Hospitality founder Brad Saltzman told the Times.

Fees at each restaurant will remain the same. Transactions will be completed in under a minute using wireless credit card terminals.
