The family of Lynn Spalding, who was found dead in a stairwell weeks after she disappeared from her hospital room at San Francisco General Hospital, is suing the City of San Francisco.
Back in March, the family filed a wrongful death claim, which often leads to a lawsuit.
The claim blames the city-run hospital and the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department for Lynne Spalding’s death.
Authorities found her body on Oct. 8 of 2013, after she had been dead for several days and after she had been missing for 17 days.
She was in the hospital for treatment of a bladder and blood infection, along with confusion.
