Fan Injured in Oracle Arena Fall Recalls It Was No Accident

A Warriors fan recovering from major injuries after a fall at Oracle Arena described the chaos he was caught up in after Game 7 of the NBA Finals and said his 50-foot fall from an upper concourse was not an accident.

Salvator Bimbo, 21, was still recovering Monday in the intensive care unit at Highland Hospital in Oakland, where cameras are not allowed. But he agreed to tell NBC Bay Area via cellphone video what he remembered about the evening of June 19 as fans began pouring out of the arena following the Warriors' loss to the Cavaliers.

"Leaving ... there was a misunderstanding going on with other people," Bimbo said in the video. "I pulled out my camera to record it ... before I knew it, I got pushed intentionally ... and I remember waking up in the hospital."

Bimbo's father, Ronnie, said his son also remembered that the man who pushed him was cursing the Warriors.

Ronnie Bimbo said Monday he is setting up a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

"There is somebody that knows something," Ronnie Bimbo said. "I'm pretty sure that person talked to somebody, said something to somebody. There's somebody out there that knows."

Oakland police were investigating the incident and had taken possession of Salvator's phone, checking it for leads. They have not revealed what was captured on the phone and have not confirmed there was a fight or altercation.
