Officials found a marijuana grow inside the home once the fire was knocked down

Fire crews rushed to Encanto Thursday to battle a fire that sparked at a home following reports of an explosion in the area.

By 4:50 p.m., officials had knocked down the fire. Once the fire was extinguished, officials discovered a marijuana grow inside the home.

Police detained three people inside the house for questioning. No one was injured.

Authorities say a 7-year-old boy was in the home when it exploded. They boy's father and two other men are now facing felony charges. The boy was uninjured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The fire department called arson officials from the Metro Arson Strike Team (MAST) to the scene to investigate immediately following the incident.
