Injured Golden Eagle Rescued in Morgan Hill Completes Rehab, Released

A golden eagle that was found and rescued more than a month ago in Morgan Hill was successfully released on Wednesday by the Wildlife Education Rehabilitation.

The eagle, who was named "Morgan," was found injured with bloody wounds and a punctured air sac. She went through weeks of intensive care and rehab, officials said.

Authorities said they feared the eagle had been shot, but it was later determined Morgan may have somehow gotten impaled on a metal fence.
