There’s a new push for an 11th University of California campus, one focused exclusively on science and technology.
Calif. state Assemblyman Mike Gatto (D-Glendale) is poised to launch a "public version of Caltech, according to the Los Angeles Times. The location is to be determined. But Gatto said he is hoping for either Los Angeles or the Silicon Valley.
Critics say the plan faces many hurdles, especially in light of current tuition hikes.
