Say hello to the newest dolphin at SeaWorld.
The Pacific bottlenose dolphin was born to mom Kolohe at 12:33 p.m. Tuesday, according to a release from SeaWorld. This is the 79th dolphin birth at SeaWorld San Diego.
SeaWorld staff says the calf and its 30-year-old mother are swimming and bonding inside a behind-the-scenes pool.
The baby dolphin is estimated to weigh 40 pounds. It will be a few weeks before we know if the calf is a boy or a girl.
