Stabbing Victim Found Lying on Downtown San Francisco Sidewalk Dies at Hospital

A stabbing victim found lying Saturday night on a sidewalk at O'Farrell and Larkin streets in downtown San Francisco was pronounced dead minutes later at a hospital, according to a police spokesman.

San Francisco police responded at 8:24 p.m. to a report of a man stabbed at the intersection and located the victim, who was down on the sidewalk, stabbed in the chest, police Officer Albie Esparza said.

The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital but was pronounced dead at 8:48 p.m., Esparza said.

Police have no suspect information or description, he said.
