The Black Widow is a sexy Soviet spy – a role that could dovetail with reports that Mickey Rourke is in talks to play Russian villain the Crimson Dynamo.

Sam Rockwell is also reportedly in talks to play another villain in the film, which will feature the return of Robert Downey Jr. in the title role and Jon Favreau as director.

Blunt currently has three films awaiting release — the comedy “The Great Buck Howard” alongside Tom Hanks and John Malkovich; the horror period piece “The Wolfman” opposite Benicio del Toro and Anthony Hopkins; and co-starring with Amy Adams in the comedy “Sunshine Cleaning.”

“Iron Man 2” is due in summer 2010.
