We hear them all the time.  At any hour of the day.  Lawnmowers, leaf blowers and trimmers.  That high pitched sound.  Not only that - but they also contribute to pollution in a big way.  Some cities have banned them - others restricted their time of use.  But no matter what cities do to regulate them... these small, gas-powered engines hurt the environment.  But what if you could get rid of the gas?  Well there are electric models, but if you have used them, you know it restricts just how far you can go and it's no fun getting the extension cord caught up in the blades of your mower!

So the smart people at one local Los Angeles company have come up with a solution - get rid of the gas and use those small propane tanks we often buy for camping stoves.  Propane is clean burning.  Starting early next year the company will start selling a propane-powered eco trimmer.  Soon after, they will release a mower and blower for public sale.  The company says the propane-powered garden products start faster, require less maintenance and run quieter.  No more gas?  It now seems possible when it comes to keeping our lawns and gardens looking their best.
