When you travel, do you wish you could continue your green practices?

Many of us recycle, reuse and spend countless hours trying to make sure that our homes are environmentally friendly.  It is not only good for the environment, but certainly good for our health as well.  After all - we spend more time in our homes than just about anywhere else.

More and more people are switching to healthy cleaning products that don't require a lot of chemicals that may not be good for us.  O.K. with all that said - next time you go out of town, why not look for a Green Hotel? They are out there. You just might have to look a little harder.

We found one here in Southern California that has pulled out all of the stops to create a green and healthy environment. Hotel Solamar in San Diego starts off the morning with organic coffee and teas.  The small boutique hotel uses less energy in the rooms and yes, recycle bins as well. Those little bottles of soaps and shampoos are environmentally friendly and so are the cleaning products used by hotel staff. You will also find a long list of organic foods on the restaurant menu.
