LA Tap Project Taps Local Restaurant Patrons For Charity

UNICEF’s LA Tap Project is asking restaurant patrons in Los Angeles to donate one dollar or more for the tap water they normally receive for free as part of World Water Day on March 22.

Money raised through the project will help support safe drinking water projects around the world. UNICEF works in more than 90 countries to improve access to safe water and sanitation facilities in schools and communities, and to promote safe hygiene practices. Last year they raised more than $800,000 in various cities across the country.

The Los Angeles Tap Project will engage people at many restaurants located throughout the greater LA area. While the restaurant program will be the primary focus, other programs will be incorporated to create awareness and raise funds for the cause.
