6.0 Quake Reported off Western Mexico

A powerful 6.0 earthquake struck Friday morning in the Sea of Cortez off the western coast of Mexico.

The quake's epicenter was near the southern tip of Baja California southwest of the city of Ahome in Sinaloa state according to CNN.

There are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
