Missing Mother and Children Found Safe in Mexico

ALTADENA, Calif. -- A woman who apparently wrote a suicide note and disappeared with her two children from their Altadena home, prompting the issuance of a statewide Amber Alert, were found safe in Mexico late Friday night.
Lisa Vigil Ruelas, 38, and her sons, Gabriel, 10, and Evan Ruelas, 5, were last seen around 3 p.m. Thursday at their home at 3104 Casitas Ave, deputies said.
Detectives "received specific information that Lisa Ruelas made plans to commit suicide after she takes the lives of her two sons," authorities said.
