A 130-acre brush fire in the Little Tujunga Canyon section of the Angeles National Forest was 85 percent contained Monday, a fire official said.
The fire broke out around 1:45 p.m. Sunday near 13000 Little Tujunga Canyon Road, in the general area where the Marek Fire scorched more than 4,800 acres last October, said Dee Dechert of the Angeles National Forest.
Three helicopters and about 250 firefighters, including city and county personnel, as well as U.S. Forest Service firefighters, had the blaze 85 percent contained as of midnight, Dechert said.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury, she said.
No evacuations were ordered and no structures were damaged, Dechert said.
